1. Can you please introduce yourself, tell us where you’re from, and how long you’ve shot on film?
Hello, I’m well-known as Line and my real name is Sergey Berezyuk. All my life I live in Minsk, Belarus. Here I was born. The film absorbed me somewhere in 2011 and after a couple of years we became inseparable. It all started with the manual Zenit ET. Some period after I was shooting on Pentax ME Super.
2. Why do you like to shoot on film?
I think there is no need to like or not. This is a type of relationship in which it is comfortable without extra loud words. Attention to each frame changes the global view on the process of photographing. I can walk around one place for several months and only make one shot in the end, which was in my head. For such moments I am pleased to deal with the film. Do not forget about the moment of creativity. Multiple exposures allow me to go beyond the limits of my own isolation within 36 frames.

3. What’s your favorite gear to use (camera, lens, film) ?
For the last five years I was shooting on Canon EOS 1n (my love). I use 35mm Samyang 1.4 and 50mm Canon 1.4 with the cheapest film (Fujifilm Superia C200). Seldom I can use some slide films and Fujifilm industrial.Dream about Pentax LX and Ektachrome. Shhh.

4. Among your works, which one is your favorite? Why?
I do not have favorite pictures. Behind each of them is some kind of story or period of experiences. I can highlight the “Walk above the clouds”. Climbing the stairs of dreams you can find places in the first row at the greatest show on the Earth. The Little Prince would have liked it.

5. Exactly what it is you want to say with your photographs?
With my photographs I want to say that photography is not just only photography. I do not photograph only what I see, I photograph what I feel. The ambiguity of images creates new images. Recursion of creativity.
